Why a search for local fish stores?

First, and most importantly, to warn hobbyists of LFS's that are, shall we say not worthy of our business.
What denotes "Not Worthy" in my opinion?

Not worthy to me is a pet store that has no regard for the animals that it keeps.  Simply concerned with making the almighty dollar.   And because of that they are unwilling to use the proper lighting, do water changes as needed, basically just keeping  the specimens in conditions that are barely livable. We as hobbyists CANNOT afford to frequent these establishments. They will only wind up doing more harm to our oceans.

Secondly, for people that are new to a certain area.  This database will help them find LFS's quickly and efficiently.  I know from experience.  Here is my plight:

After moving to San Jose, I went on the great LFS hunt.  I was armed with a small list of stores, a cell phone, and a full tank of gas.  I was determined to find a good quality store.   Later, this was my demise.  The stores that I had listed stated that they did offer marine,  but for the most part they offered damsels, and clowns.  Just enough to say marine. After a full day and a half of searching, I began to wonder if it was worth my effort to get back into the hobby.   I have been in my new location for about  6 months and have yet to find any "good" Stores.

Please:  Make a contribution and add the store that you visit, and add the stores you know to stay away from.
